Fluke 1AC II - Non-Contact Voltage Tester.    

Most volt-alert testers are considered cheap and unreliable, but they’re essential as the first safety line to check for live voltage. The Fluke 1AC II is the product they can depend on as their first line of defense. 

Current products in the market: Non-contact voltage test detectors are the first safety line for electricians to check for live voltage. They currently use these products cautiously as they might provide false information that leads to dangerous situations. 

User need:  During our user research with current non-contact tools. The first complaint is that most testers need to be more robust; the tip typically breaks off or cracks during regular use. Also, for safety, they usually look for an available power supply to do a pre-test to see if it works properly. 

Product solution:  Fluke 1AC II was developed to address structural failures and integrated a built-in self-check button inside the current size. Working with our engineers, we could fit a built-in test button and still retain the current slim pen profile, which electricians desire as they typically clip in their pockets to carry them around.
